Founded in 2015, Red Card events was established to create a platform for youth and adult soccer events in Southern California. After years of organizing amateur events in the West Valley and organizing events for the LA Galaxy, Red Card was born to expand its reach and expand possibilities of soccer events to build relationships across the community. 2017 will be the most exciting year yet. Red Card has entered into a Partnership Agreement with the LA Galaxy for multiple games. Red Card also announces a 2 year Sponsorship for UCLA Women's and Men's Soccer. We are proud to wear the badge of "Proud Sponsor of UCLA Athletics", amplifying the reputation of this elite institution for both soccer and academics. Red Card Events creates and executes unique, exciting and one of a kind events that invite the community and organizations to come together for common positive purpose. We invite individuals and organizations to join with us as we broaden our reach to the many possibilities that the game of soccer can offer.

Boston native Laurie has worked in film/Tv , non-profit, and corporate marketing worlds before coming back to her true love - Sports. After many years of organizing sporting events, in her spare time, for her friends and family to come together and enjoy, Laurie saw organizing events as a full-time opportunity to engage LA community and heighten the popularity of women's soccer. This is her 2nd year as Team Manager for Real SoCal Soccer Club, and she was Site Manger for her daughter's volleyball team in USYVL. Laurie is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has her USSF E Coaching License, and enrolled for her "D" License. She will be coaching AYSO in the Fall. Soccer has been a huge part of her life: Her two kids Becca 14, and Carter 12 have been soccer players from the age of 4. She is well-versed with the women's Professional and Collegiate game of soccer, and has been lucky to attend the Women's world Cup and NWSL Final in Houston, with her family. Laurie plays in 2 different soccer leagues in her spare time, as well as climbing the mountains in her backyard. Huge Patriots fan and any Boston Sport for that matter. Laurie is trying to build the women's game of soccer by creating, planning and partnering with other organizations to create programming for women to have the opportunities to experience sports, unity, competition, and confidence to build a foundation in life

Friends,
Red Card Events came to fruition from a love, passion and knowledge of the game of soccer. Sharing in the of extreme admiration and influence that the Women’s World Cup 2015 provided, saw the emergence of the sport, of female athletes, as role models, as people striving to be the best with many successes and failures. I grew up with the US women’s National Team, the women of 1999. These women lured in so many with their athleticism, motivation, skill, heart and competitiveness. And then there was 2015. Soccer is such a unique game, something that speaks to everyone, no matter class, language barriers or skill. We all have the ability to play in any capacity, with all different kinds of people. My husband and CFO of Red Card Events is a soccer fanatic. We wanted to play a team sport, lots of fun and an activity to engage with our kids. Our kids, ages 11 and 13, have played soccer most of their lives, and we found that soccer was a way to combine family time with sport, a way to engage in life and community. We started a coed soccer team in Calabasas, CA and played every Sunday evening, whether 100+ degrees or 20 degrees with driving rain. We played with so many other families and became a close knit community where this was an integral part of our lives, we made friends that we shared a common interest with - it became a social atmosphere. We continue to follow the sport, through our kids, and support the sport in every way.
We started to plan our trip to Vancouver, BC for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015. Epiphany is all I can say. To see a live soccer game with so many fans, so much excitement and support, and to see these women with their athleticism, dedication, strength and talent. It was in Vancouver where we traveled and saw the beautiful city of Vancouver, enjoyed hiking, waterfalls, bridges, good food and combined with a week long schedule of international soccer games. We not only watched the US play, but watched such cool teams like the amazingly talented Cameroon play. We cheered Nigeria on, and became huge supporters of the Canadian Women’s Soccer team, hanging out at the fan’s tent watching them play. It was an experience to say the least.
We came back home to California, and watched the US Women’s team beat Japan to become 2015 World Cup Champions. We attended the LA Live US WNT Thank you celebration to give them a huge welcome back and thank you for their hard work, dedication and inspiration. And then began my fight to support and work to extend the game even further.
December 2015 - We started Redcard Events - partnered with LA Galaxy to plan/execute events for 4 LA Galaxy home games at StubHub Center. We brought over 2,000 people to watch professional soccers game over the year, we brought soccer clubs, schools, non-profit organizations. Community groups, friends and family to a fun, engaging day out for soccer. Yes, anyone can plan a group to go to the game, but RED CARD Events provides a different experience, and we take care of every detail for the day so that everyone else can enjoy the day. We take care of tickets and details for the day, provide on-field experiences, tailgate and parking logistics, and get you a great seat for the game.
2017
At the end of 2016, Red Card Events signed on as a sponsor of UCLA Mens and Womens Soccer. This has given us the opportunity to work more with women in soccer. This has been our goal from the beginning, lending opportunities to every other community for young girls to have exposure to the sport from youth club to college to NWSL.
What we can show our youth, our girls, is that soccer is a competitive game that doesn’t just include skill. It’s about hard work, tough mental capacity, endurance, interpersonal skills and teamwork, and so much more. US is a dominant force in women’s soccer but every other country is getting better. We can’t just believe we are the best, and it is even more exciting that this sport is getting stronger worldwide. This sport lends opportunities to women to gain confidence, and strive for something better, forming relationships to reinforce their lives forever.
We are glad that you found our site, and hope you continue to visit for upcoming events, information, ideas and use as a reference to the Los Angeles community.
